This wine is a mosaic of varieties: Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Each variety matured separately for 4 months in French oak barrels, half of them new. After blending, the wine returned to the barrels for another 15 months. Opaque, concentrated purple-black color. Powerful fruit aromas and tart blackberry, with a rich bouquet of roasted coffee beans and cocoa. A complex, varied taste of black fruit, blueberries and raspberries. Very full body, good tannins and a long, elegant finish. The wine will continue to improve in the coming years.
The winery, founded in the community of Shiloh, began receiving grapes from the 2005 harvest.
Modern winemaking equipment and large stainless-steel tanks were installed
in a large hall, joined by French oak barrels that were soon
filled with red must from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz grapes.
A young team led by Amichai runs the winery, which grows with every
harvest. Later, in addition to the noble varieties, the winery also began receiving Cabernet
Franc, Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot grapes, which help create new
blends.
