Sabra is Israel’s well-known liqueur brand. Its name was chosen from the English form of “tzabar”, the nickname for a native-born Israeli Jew. The first Sabra was dark chocolate with sweet orange flavor and was considered a coveted gift from Israel. Combining orange with chocolate liqueur was considered innovative and gave the liqueur a special taste. Over time it was joined by a sibling – Sabra Coffee liqueur.
