Psagot Peak 2023

149.00 ₪

Psagot Peak is a blend of different grape varieties from southern France adapted to the Israeli climate: Syrah, Petite Sirah and Mourvèdre. The wine is aromatic, rich and concentrated – black fruit, black pepper, dark chocolate, dried flowers and minerality. It has a velvety texture with supporting acidity and is expected to improve over time. The grapes come from vineyards in the Jerusalem Mountains at 900 meters. The wine was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. The grapes are hand-harvested in the early morning hours and every cluster is carefully selected.

Psagot Winery and its vineyards, planted deep in the rocky soil of Binyamin,

are a continuation of a long chain of generations of fine winemaking,

in a region where conditions are optimal.

The winery was founded in 2003 and has grown steadily ever since. Today it produces

over 750,000 bottles, more than 70% of which

are exported to dozens of countries. Every year the winery’s wines win

medals and international awards at prestigious competitions around the world.

In June 2020, Psagot Winery moved to its new home at Sha’ar Binyamin.

A beautiful stone building houses the winemaking facility, and its impressive cellar

ages more than 1,000 barrels every year.
