Psagot Blanc de Blancs 2013

249.00 ₪

The first sparkling wine in history made from Israeli mountain-ridge grapes using the traditional method, from a terroir similar, even identical, to France’s Champagne region. The Chardonnay grapes for Psagot Blanc de Blancs were hand-harvested at night at optimal ripeness from the finest plots of the winery’s vineyards in the Jerusalem Mountains. Fermentation began in stainless-steel tanks, where the wine aged for 6 months. It then underwent secondary fermentation in the bottle, aging for 6 years on the lees before disgorging. A perfumed sparkling wine with stylish complexity – refreshing, elegant and caressing – with delicate yet rich aromas of apples, melon, citrus, pastry dough and delightful notes. An excellent aperitif that pairs beautifully with cheeses and fish, and is also a pleasure on its own.
