“Shishit” is one of the special wines of

Meron Winery

, a boutique winery in the Upper Galilee producing small, limited quantities of quality wine. It is made from grapes grown in the winery’s vineyards on Mount Kayumi in the Meron area, at about 890 meters above sea level, in an area of basalt and terra rossa soils that contribute to the wine’s complexity and aromatic richness.

Deep red color, aromas of ripe black forest fruits, plum and cherry alongside hints of vanilla, coffee, chocolate and spices from oak-barrel aging. On the palate the wine is rich, concentrated and full-bodied, with a long, balanced finish.
